BN 04 – MEGA WILDLIFE HUNTING FARM
This is a “one of a kind” game farm, situated 48 kilometers from Vaalwater in the Limpopo Province, offering unique accommodation and hunting facilities catering for Overseas Trophy hunters.
±6 200 Hectare of an undisturbed bushveld forms the backdrop for the farm, where a multitude of animal, plant and bird life reveals the essence of the African Continent. About 10 000 Ha actual contour land
This unique farm has a beautiful, rugged mountain range on the North Western side with seasonal rivers forming the Eastern and Western boundaries.
All infrastructures have been upgraded in relation to and careful planning of the environment, ecology and game counts.
Apart from being a hunting farm, this is also a breeding farm with projects focusing on the White Rhino, Sable, Buffalo, Tsetsebi, Gemsbok and Roan.
To explain this exclusive game farm in words falls short of its exact beauty and offerings and a visit thereto is a must to experience its full magnificence.
6200 Hectares bush veld. But in extent 10 000 Ha on contours
The entire Farm differentiates from mountainous to flat areas and down hill gorges, typical bushveld trees covering the entire Farm and iin rainy seasons becomes very bushy. The undergrowth is mainly grass of various types, namely sour veld, blue buffalo, white buffalo and kweek.
Despite the dry seasons over the past few years, this farm is still in an excellent state due to good management and Game control. This Farm has good carrying capacity between grass eaters and leaf eaters and the amount of animals can easily be increased by a further 50%.
The one river runs through the Eastern boundary of the farm for almost 22 kilometres. Towards the centre of the farm is a river and on the western boundary another river. All three (3) rivers are seasonal and only dry up in very dry seasons in certain areas
There are three (3) three large soil dams on the 1 Section the 2 Section and at the main lodge or manager’s residence.
There are 6 (six) fully equipped boreholes ensuring water supply all over the farm for domestic use as well as the cement troughs and reservoir tanks for animal drinking water.
There are 13 (thirteen) 10 000 Litre plastic reservoir tanks and 5 (five) 5 000 litre plastic reservoir tanks erected on steel stands.
There are 5 (five) eskom supply points each with 50 kva 3 phase transformers at various strategic points on the farm.
The entire farm is divided into various camps, namely:
Hunting camp: ±2 000 hectares
Breeding camps – 3 (three) of 150 hectares each and 2 (two) of 300 hectares
One (1) larger camp for buffalo – ± 300 hectares
One (1) camp for breeding of Sable – ± 300 hectares
Buffalo quarantine gum pole boma
The remaining approximately 3 300 hectares is not divided into camps, mainly mountainous.
All the internal roads have been built over the last 5 years as there were no decent roads in the past, at all. The new roads of approximately 135 kilometres together with curbing on the side of the roads and storm eater drainage were constructed by engineering companies and built by professional road builders.
Apart from these constructed roads, secondary roads were also built in order to control driving on the farm and preventing the veld from being damaged in rainy seasons as well as in hunting season.
All these roads are exceptionally well maintained and are in good order.
The entire farm is bound by way of a 23 (twenty three) strand game fence approximately 2.7 meters in height and fitted with grid mesh where it crosses the rivers, preventing the fences from being washed away during high water levels.
All the breeding camps together with the hunting camp are electrified on both sides of the game fence.
The electricity supply on the fencing is by one (1) solar panel and standard eskom supply via the transformers.
There are 5 (five) different entrance gates of which the staff are only allowed to use.
The spectacular main entrance is of rock finish with large steel access gates and is controlled by appointed only.
3. MAIN LODGE / OWNER’S RESIDENCE
A large single storey double volume rock finish residence fitted with timber framed glazed under a thatched roof overlooks the large soil dam and comprised of lounge cum dining room area, kitchen, two (2) bedrooms (both with en-suite bathrooms).
Further, to this improvement there is also a free standing entertainment room with full size snooker table, bar and big screen television.
Adjacent to each other are four (4) double en-suite cottages with large thatched patio area to the front thereof.
To the side of the main dwelling is a free standing thatch roofed building with the same finish as the main dwelling comprised of laundry and domestic’s accommodation.
There are three (3) lock-up garages adjacent to the main dwelling with timber roller shutter doors. There are a further three (3) garages with no garages doors towards the rear of the main dwelling.
Upgraded laundry with fittings to accommodate all appliances.
Ceramic tile floor cover throughout the entire dwelling with that in the bedrooms having been surfaced with durable quality wall-to-wall carpeting.

ELECTRICAL WIRING AND SUPPLY:
The electrical wiring appears to comply with Municipality regulations although the supply is via the Local Eskom distribution Sub-station.
INTERNAL FITTINGS & FIXTURES
The entire residential dwelling is fitted with exclusive and very expensive fittings and fixtures which includes bathrooms.
Fully equipped with timber wall and floor units, eye level undercounter ovens, 4 plate hob and double bowl stainless steel sink unit.
Mainly lawn with underground irrigation system and pop up sprayers
The water supply is via a borehole and reservoir tank.
The property is unbound but fitted with a removable electric fence to keep rhino and hippo of the premises at night.

5. MANAGER’S RESIDENCE
Single storey face brick residential dwelling with steel framed glazing under a pitched and tiled
roof comprised of entrance foyer, lounge, dining room, kitchen, family bathroom and 3 (three) bedrooms.
Ceramic floor tiles throughout the entire residence, Herculite ceiling boards and plastered and painted walls.
The kitchen has been extended with melamine wall and floor units, undercounter oven and 4 plate hob.
Shower enclosure, bathtub, pedestal wash basin and toilet.
No lock-up garage – large lofty steel structure with IBR roof sheeting used as a carport located between the residence and the hunter’s camp.
6. HUNTER’S CAMP LODGE:
Single storey rock walling with timber framed glazing and aluminium sliding door under thatched roof comprised of lounge cum dining area, kitchen and two (2) cloakrooms
Ceramic tile floor cover, plastered and painted walling and the ceilings are the underside of thatched roof.
Melamine and timber wall and floor units, double undercounter oven and 4 plate hob.
Double stainless steel sink unit.
6.3 TWO (2) CLOAKROOMS
Standard porcelain sanitary ware and tiled to ceiling height
Located at the entrance of lodge is a boma with rock walling and built-in braai facilities. This lodge is adjacent to the manager’s residence and the larger carport is situated next door to the manager’s residence
7. HUNTER’S COTTAGES
There are four (4) individual hunter’s cottages separate from each other constructed of rock walling fitted with steel framed glazing under pitched and tiling roofing. Every cottage is comprised of two (2) en suite bedrooms with a small kitchenette and lounge area and are full furnished.
Ceramic tile floor cover, painted and painted walling and Herculite ceilings.
Built in cupboards
Shower enclosure, bathtub, pedestal wash basin and toilet and tiled to ceiling height.
At the side of each cottage is a double carport constructed of steel and IBR sheeting.
Garden areas are lawned and fitted with sprinkler system.

7. STEEL SHEDS:
Located at the Hunters lodge and managers residence are three steel structured sheds enclosed with IBR cladding and double steel doors each of approximately 500m².
The butchery is constructed of face brick walling fitted with steel framed glazing under a pitched IBR roof.
The butchery is fully equipped with Caterware type butchery equipment and large walk-in cold room approximately 600m² complete with compressors, isolating materials and doors.
9. WORKSHOP / TOOL STORE
Face brick walling fitted with steel framed glazing under a pitched IBR roof. Fitted with double steel doors, concrete slab flooring and steel beam roof structure.
To the side of the workshop is a 1.8 metre high concrete and brick built “Inspection Ramp”
10 STAFF ACCOMMODATION
There are various Staff Compounds on the property constructed of brick walling fitted with steel framed glazing and pitched IBR roof sheeting. Every compound has its own television room and ablution facilities.
Interior walls are plastered and painted with screed flooring.
The areas surrounding these compounds are mainly uncovered soil and very little has been done to disturb the natural bush and vegetation.
Situated in the mountain is a three bedroomed face brick cottage fitted with steel framed glazing and corrugated roof sheeting.
Ceramic tile floor cover throughout.
Comprised of kitchen, three bedrooms and ablution facilities.
11. INTERNAL FITTINGS & FIXTURES:
Built-in cupboards and stainless steel sink unit.
Shower, wash handbasin and toilet
Each breeding camp has concrete and brick feeding troughs equipped with running water. The troughs are covered with rectangular steel shaped IBR canopies.
Water supplies are from 5000 litre plastic reservoir tanks.
A large mud hole is built in the Buffalo camp.
All the accommodation offered in this instance is occupied by its Owners, Farm Manager and Labourers employed full time on this Farm.
The improvement appear to be in sound physical condition with no apparent major structural defects and are well maintained on a daily basis.
This is a Hunting Farm catering for the overseas trophy hunters and also a breeding farm with current projects on the white rhino, sable, buffalo, tsetsebe gemsbuck, and roan.
